the big tower cases have more bays for hard disks and other drives (like CD, DVD, ZIP etc.). But when you compare nowadays the cases of Chieftec i would say there is no more difference. What is the difference between Mid size Computer tower cases and Full size PC tower cases?
there are some midsize that have 10 bays so you dont really need a full tower anymore
Medium size is your average HP or Dell computer.

Full Size PC's are done mostly for only the hard core gamers and for buisness, such as advanced video editing and all that kind of stuff.
All with the size, and the motherboard compatibility. In most home/gaming set ups, how small your computer is shouldn't be a problem. I personally prefer the mid sized ones, because I, being a gamer, don't even need the extra bays. Plus the full sized look to bulky/ugly.
Generally, just the size. Larger cases allow for more

expansion bays. They may also have a larger power supply (if included) to power more add on devices.
