Yes it will reduce the life of the fan because it puts an unneeded amount of load on the fan. It shouldn't decrease that significantly unless you are doing it on a regular basis, but then again it hurts when you do so i suggest not doing it anyway. lolWhat happens if you touch a fan in a computer case when it is on?
i have touched fans by accident......it wont reduce the life span of the fan........you might break some blades and thats about it.....if that happens then yes,replace the fan....but by just touching one there will be know drastic overall effect on the life span of the fan.....

The lifespan of a fan is not dependent upon the electronics driving it, it is dependent upon the lifespan of the bearing system that it has similar to a pair of rollerblade wheels.
if you touch the fan of the pc when it's on, it might cause a risk of freeze the pc
You will hurt your finger or even break the nail.
