What is the most popular computer case size these days?

I am doing a desktop build and would like to know the most popular case size these days. ATX, Mini, Micro....etc?What is the most popular computer case size these days?
ATX still has it by a humgous margin. Reason is that its so flexible. Need another disk? There's a lot of room. Change the PSU? Any old PSU will fit. Just make sure the rating is good enough. Need a card reader /more usbs/ another DVD writer? Just open the case and put it in.

So, unless you are very short on space..get a half decent ATX. My new one looks great. Has a nice perspex panel on the side so you can see the LEDs glowing. Cost about $35 with a PSU (upgraded from the standard one to a Corsair. Without the upgrade it was $25). Room in the back for a big 12cm fan. One on the side, an 8cm. Nice air duct out on the front lower. Runs very cool.Couple of USBs and audio in/out on the front, all precabled.

Lot of people I talked to in Japan are going for smaller cases 'cause their appartments are so tiny. But all of them were complaining about noise and overheating and not enough PCI slots. The cases looked good though. Cute. Might be good for a small bedroom. But watch out for the probs. Oh, and not cheap. What is the most popular computer case size these days?
It depends what you're doing. If you want to build a monster with SLI and all the bells and whistles then get a full tower ATX, big but you won't have space problems. If a mid range then a mid tower. Going to use it for gaming? Don't go mini. Doing word processing only? mini would probably work.

It's intended purpose is certainly helpful.
what are you going to use the desktop for? that would determine the case for me.

gamer computer - larger case, atx, lotsa fans and plenty of room inside

tv computer - mini or micro to fit onto the tv stand and look like a component.
depends how big you want it to be and what you'll be putting in it. If you will be running multiple graphics cards you will need a bigger case. If its a small simple build then a mini atx might be right for you.
