No sound after switching Computer cases?

Hello all,

Today i switched PC cases. Everything works well, but the sound isnt functioning :S

The speakers work fine, but i think its from the motherboard itself.

Now i have a theory as to why its not working,

for example, those little black plugs you plug in to the motherboard (power on, Power off, Speaker, Usb) might be misplaced.

Any ideas why my sound is not working?

thanks! No sound after switching Computer cases?
good question and possible diagnosis to a common problem..depending on the age of your PCs Mo-Bo, (most newer boards have few if any jumpers to misconfigure). You might of accidently unpluged or improperly reconnected the terminal connections during your otherwise sucessfull tower upgrade. Also check that the connection from your cd or dvd -rpm player are also in their proper and respcttive connections from back od player to Mo-Bo..remember the polairty of red , white, black must be consistant. Good luck, U will find it!No sound after switching Computer cases?
Sounds like the sound card may not be seated correctly

Before you open the case, check the sound card in Device Manager.

Start%26gt;Settings%26gt;Control Panel%26gt;System%26gt;Hardware%26gt;Device Manager

Your sound card should be listed under Sound, Video and Game Controllers.

If it's not listed or you see a small yellow circle with an exclamation point, means there is a problem with your sound card, if there is, power off the PC and reseat the sound card.

Good Luck!
