Do all motherboards work in all computer cases?

ok im not talking bout size wise i know the diff between microatx,atx,etc..........

wat im confused about is like in sum computer cases theres wires within them..im guesseing connected to power button...so do any motherboard work for those wires...hard to explain but if u need pictures ill send some...Do all motherboards work in all computer cases?
Every motherboard and case has a ';form factor.'; The form factors are standard (ATX, Mini-ATX, ITX, AT) so any ATX motherboard will work in any ATX case. However, a Mini-ATX motherboard will also work in a regular ATX case.

You should do some more research before you try building a computer. ';Theres wires within them . . . I'm guessing connected to power button'; won't get you a computer built. You should get a book on how to build a computer or have someone else do it for you. It will save you a lot of time and trouble.

Aside from form factors, you'll also need different power supplies depending on the type of processor/form factor you're using.

It's like asking whether all transmissions will work in all cars. There's much more that need to be taken into consideration.
