Computer cases: What are the benefits of having a full case? mid case? which is better/worse? Why?

I love full ATX cases, especially for air-flow and ease of working inside. The disadvantage is they don't fit inside alot of desks and they are very big.

Mid cases always fit in desks, but they can get cramped easily. Its harder to do a nice wiring job on a build, but overall both work well.Computer cases: What are the benefits of having a full case? mid case? which is better/worse? Why?
Full Case:

Advantages:

More room for components.

More drive space.

Can accept larger mother boards.

More space for cooling.

Disadvantages:

Large and bulky.

Can be heavy.

Takes up a lot of space.

Micro/Bookshelf Case:

Advantages:

Small.

Portable.

Space saving.

Light.

Can be place just about anywhere.

Disadvantages:

Limited space for components.

Can usually have only one hard drive and one CD drive

Overheating problems.

Cannot take most standard expansion devices (i.e. Video, Network scsi devices, etc)

Mid Tower Case:

Advantages:

Has most advantages of the full tower and the micro case

Disadvantages:

Minimal, larger than the micro but smaller than the full

Can hold more than the micro but less than the full

It all depends on what you want in it and what you want to use it for.

I have a full tower cause I have 4 HDD's a DVD RW 4 120mm case mounted colling fans and dual nVidia Video so anything smaller just wouldn't work.

Unless you want to install many hard drives and/or optical drives, a midsize case should suit you.

A full size case will have better airflow, so if you want to use water cooling or overclock aggressively, then a full size case will work better.

The only issue you might have with a midsize case is if you are going to install a very large video card. Some cases will not have the proper clearance for the biggest cards.
Depends on your needs.

If you're not going to be doing alot of reconfiguration, you'll just need one that fits all your parts %26amp; has good ventilation.

If you'll be taking it to LAN parties %26amp; such, a smaller case would be more desirable for the portability.
Larger is better for cooling and less stress when doing cable jobs but full towers are big and there is not much room they would fit.
