I am building a computer and am trying to figure out where the fans that came built into the case plug into. It has a plug that fits onto the motherboard, but there is an adapter that is pluged into that that looks like it would plug into the power supply. I have an Asus 95B motherboard and a Cooler Master Centurion 5 case. The motherboard manual seems to say the fans plug into the motherboard, with no plug into the power. Is this the case? Do the fans only plug into the motherboard?Where does the fans that are on the computer case plug into?
Heatsink fans are normally connected to the motherboard. Extra fans are either connected to the motherboard or to the power supply but you must get it right because of varying voltages.

This is one of those ';it depends'; questions. Sometimes case fans plug right into the power supply. Other times, especially small fans, might plug into the motherboard. Really, the only thing you should worry about is will it post. As long as you have the CPU fan plugged into the mother board you should be good.
You may plug the fans in to either the motherboard or straight into the power supply. The benefits of the motherboard would be if your motherboard monitors fan speeds and / or controls fan speed depending on case temperature. The bad side is that it's never good to draw too much power from the motherboard this way. Chances are you will be just fine, but there isn't much benefit to doing it this way unless you plan on using your motherboard to control fan speed (BIOS settings) or if you don't have an adapter for the power supply (which you do). Hope this helps! And again, you only need one or the other...not both!
wich fan is it? if it is one of the actuall case fans they should be connected to the power link (the 4 pin power supply plugs)...althoug if you are on about the cpu fan (the one that is directly on top of the cpu,this IS connected directly to the motherboard and that is it, it will look similar to the other power suply wires apart from it will only have 2-3 wires(i think black red and yellow) and one plug at the end of it (wearas the other wires usuall have 4 wires)...the socket for the cpu fan should be near the cpu and shoudnt be too hard to find
depends on the connector type attached to the fan itself. If it is a molex connector (ie. it has a rectangular shaped plastic end with 4 male connector pins and angled corners on two of the four corners) you will want to plug it into the female molex counterpart that comes from your power supply (ie. 4 female pin holes where the 4 male pins will fit together). If the fan has a small plastic clip with 3 tiny pinholes in it, this is a connector that attaches to the motherboard. Plug it in where the board connector says ';Sys_fan';.

There are some small (3/8';) plugs that plug into the mobo, the mobo will have letters like fan1,fan2,fanpwr, ect. then there are the plugs that connect to the power supply itself. some fans have both types, when it does plug both types in. the larger connectors are color coded black,red,yellow. those connect to the power supply and sometimes you can stack theconnectors

What's the best computer case for me (continued)?
For a PC of course. Full form factor. Preferably a tower or a tower that can function as a desktop too. Something with lots of cooling.
I'll probably be getting the Asus Striker II Extreme Mobo unless someone has a better recommendation. I wont be gaming, but I do want the best in performance and reliability.What's the best computer case for me (continued)?

Then why would you want such an expensive mobo? This motherboard is kind of overkill for a normal work / office computer. You certainly don't need the SLi it offers if you don't play games.

Most mobo's have roughly the same durability (as long as you buy good brands like Gigabyte or ASUS, avoid generics like Foxconn or Asrock)

computer cases are a matter of personal taste. Antec, Lian-Li and Thermaltake make good cases, and which one you buy depends on your budget. My personal favourite is the Antec 300 -- it's priced reasonably well, has great ventilation and has a good layout.
The Antec 1200 is also quite good -- is an improvement from the Antec 300, has a massive fan, tool-less installation and side window to show off your computer's innards.
There are some great full tower cases out there. Antec Twelve Hundred, Coolermaster Cosmos 1000s is really good because it gives you lots of room, good cooling and it has sound dampening . Antec p193 is also a large case that is really good!

Computer case thumb screw will not come out,keeps turning?
I am trying to upgrade some hardware on my desktop HP Media Center m7360n. I tried to remove the right bottom thumb nail unsuccessfully. It continually rotates and will not come out. I have run out of ideas and was unsuccessful in finding any other ideas. Any ideas would be great.Computer case thumb screw will not come out,keeps turning?

Cooling is the main thing for me. I wouldn't buy a case without probably two 120mm fans at the front and another at the top/back. Looks are not that important but if it look too flashy with a load of LEDs built in it would probably put me off. I do normally put my own LEDs in things but i just try to get a slight glow rather than light the room up.
I have 3 hard drives 2 in raid 0 and a spare. So 3 drive bays are fine for me. An a single dvd drive.

Hardcore gamers would want the best cooling possible at the lowest possible noise. Make space for a liquid cooling system or for big, low-rpm fans. Notice that designs like the Mac Pro and the HP Voodoo Blackbird 002 are raised so that there is at least one more vector for ventilation.
Mac Pros (and their predecessors the PowerMacs) had a hinged door to allow for easy motherboard and drive bay management.
Of course, the case should conform to at least the ATX motherboard-size standard.

Standard cases come with at least 4 bays. That's enough even for hardcore gamers. The most gamer-friendly (speed over HD space) RAID settings require at least 3-4 HDs.

Looks are just shy of irrelevant, as long at it's not butt ugly it will do, if I want it to look cool I will build it myself. Just give me room for at least two hard drives, at least two dvd bays and enough clearance to fit a big heat sink. I swap parts out often, so ease of opening is important, too.

This case doesnt have diamonds or anything but it does have one cool case, the flames change colour as the psu's temperature increase. This case is around 拢700, which is probably the most expensive out there! minus cases with diamonds in them like you sayd. Im sure a solid cold case with every inch laced with diamonds would come into the millions mark!
